Street kids in the early morning -Kigali city in the suburb of Nyamirambo- Biryogo curious to talk to the Journalist on Radio Salus, Joachim Nkurikiyumukiza .

A eleven years street kid talking about the cause of getting the street." I used to live with my mother who died recently.Soon after I was adopted in a family they treated me in a wild condition therefore my best choice was street and I feel at easy" Said the below kids on Joachim's Voice Recorder
A thirteen years old street kid "I came here because I was alone ,my father was imprisoned
and my brother left to Uganda ,so I decided to come here and look for money " said below kid on Joachim's voice recorder .
"The life is
progressively getting more dangerous , it has become a very serious struggle because police is always running after us .whenever get caught we are brought to prison called
Kabuga center , in the dangerous house with clean less chambers with no
foods here we face serious physical
punishment " Said the the street kid in black coat on below picture .
"Nothing good we get from Kabuga center, this place only make
us upset ,police torture us in different ways like burning us , they give us only maize , some of us get attacked by
diarrhea as we are many in a small chamber we get all infected " said kids on below
picture .
A sixteen years old talking about how he was tortured by the police " I was caught and brought to the center I spent there three months being beaten , eating maize once a day , there was a time I was put on fire ! Said below kid on Joachim's voice recorder .
Our wish is to have
the harassment stopped and we
need the Government to take care of us and take us from the streets and help us to go to school .
